"There are few things more personal than choosing someone to build or renovate your home. It goes deeper than money although the money you pay is important. It goes deeper than seeing the work this person did for someone else although that’s important too. It’s about the feeling you get when you talk to this person. So let me tell you what Rick Radigan told me when we first spoke about my project.

He said that he builds every home as if it was his own. He said that he wants his people to be mindful about cleanliness on the job and respectful about our property. He said we could talk to him about any concerns we had and that he would work our ideas into the ‘plans’.

Over the course of 18 months we came to trust Rick and all his workers. He came to know us and our peculiarities. He warned me that I wouldn’t like a ‘cultured’ stone chimney. In fact I had no idea that cultured meant fake and he was right. I used to think that cultured stones were better educated than common stones, but I jest. We went for real stone and that made all the difference.
